The stone boat ( the ‘amis reunie’) is a replica of a trading ketch which was destroyed in the estuary some time ago. It’s a great symbol for the allegory that was The Prisoner – filmed in the sixties. It sits calmly outside the Hotel below the Italianate village, but has nowhere it can go to.
