I now take commissions. These are usually from  photographs and some recent requests have been for painting of buildings or places that mean something special to the the purchaser and/or their family but at a very reasonable price (under £100, unframed). Request have come from the other side of the world, from countries in Europe, or from a just a few streets away from where I live! I’ve done something a little extra by request, such as setting the painting at a particular season, or adding something personal to the image. The buyers have been very pleased – which brings a lot of satisfaction to me as well a giving a focus for my work. It’s almost half term already! The Highgate Scientific and Literary Institution was set up in 1839 and offers a range of cultural activities, including lectures, seminars, outings and special groups. Overlooking Pond Square it is one of the oldest such organisations still operating in London. It’s very popular with local people and has a high membership rate.
