Adapted from a plate from British History Online this sketch shows Pond Square with Moreton House and  15 South Grove, this shows how the square once may have looked. The village was then even more typical with pond(s), pubs and churches. Painted as part of an ongoing project.

“The Jurassic Coast is a Walk Through Time.” With as much character – but with a far longer heritage – as the Welsh town pictured elsewhere, Lyme Regis is at its heart of that walk. Though the town was beautiful and the weather was erratic. It must be the monsoon season……
